지역매체 ‘WYFF뉴스4’에 따르면 사건은 사우스 캐롤라이나주 클린턴에 있는 프레즈피테리안 컬리지(Presbyterian Collegeㆍ이하 PC)에서 발생했다.
이 학교에 재학 중인 유재영(23)씨는 지난 25일 납치 및 범죄적 성행위 3급 혐의로 기소됐다.
사우스 캐롤라이나주 경찰국(SLED)에 따르면 전날인 24일 유씨는 학교 캠퍼스 레지던스홀에서 피해자의 팔을 잡아 나가지 못하게 했으며 피해자에게 성적 구타(sexual battery)를 가한 것으로 밝혀졌다.



Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jaeyeong Yoo, 23, with Kidnapping and Criminal Sexual Conduct – Third Degree on Sunday, February 25, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by the Presbyterian College Campus Police Department.

Yoo was booked at the Laurens County Detention Center, with no bond set by magistrate. The case will be prosecuted by the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. The suspect’s address is redacted but the city is listed as Clinton.
