국제형사경찰기구와 한국 당국이 수배 중인 한국인 도망자가 출입국관리국(BI)에 체포된 후 추방 절차에 직면해 있다고 금요일 밝혔다.

BI에 따르면 34세의 성정후는 지난 5월 14일 타귀그시 보니파시오 글로벌 시티의 7번가에서 함정 작전 중 당국에 의해 체포되었습니다. BI는 성정후가 고국을 떠난 후 한국 당국이 필리핀 정부에 지원을 요청했다고 밝혔습니다.

성 씨는 국민체육진흥법 위반 혐의로 부산지방법원에서 발부된 구속영장의 대상입니다. 2020년 4월에도 그에 대한 인터폴 적색수배가 있었습니다."라고 BI는 보도자료를 통해 밝혔습니다

A South Korean fugitive wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization and Korean authorities is facing deportation proceedings after being arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), the agency said on Friday.

According to the BI, 34-year-old Seong Jeonghu was arrested during an entrapment operation last May 14 along 7th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, after authorities received information on his presence in the city. The BI said South Korean authorities requested assistance from the Philippine government after Seong left his home country.

Seong is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Busan District Court in South Korea for alleged violation of the country’s National Sports Promotion Act. An Interpol red notice was likewise issued against him in April 2020,” the BI said in a press release.
