통신 사기와 마약 밀매에 연루된 혐의로 수배 중이던 한국인 도망자가 마침내 마린두크 이민국 요원들에게 붙잡혔습니다.
43세의 심동우로 확인된 용의자는  2021년 7월 서울중앙지방법원에서 체포 영장이 발부되기도 전에 인터폴 적색수배 대상이 된 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
심 씨는 보이스 피싱을 통해 피해자들에게 5,800만 원 이상, 약 44,000달러를 편취한 신디케이트의 일원이라는 이유로 해당 법원에서 사기 혐의로 기소된 것으로 알려졌습니다.



A South Korean fugitive wanted for involvement in telecommunications fraud and drug trafficking was finally caught by agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in Marinduque.

The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Sim Dongwoo, was arrested in Buenavista, Marinduque last Tuesday, February 6, by operatives from the bureau’s fugitive search unit (FSU).

Information given by the BI-Interpol unit revealed that Sim became the subject of an Interpol red notice even before a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Seoul central district court in July 2021.

Sim was reportedly charged for fraud before the said court for being a member of syndicate that defrauded its victims of more than 58 million won, or roughly US$44,000, by means of voice phishing.
