지난 11월 8일 BF 홈즈에서 체포된 파라나크 시티는 김희철(36세), 서민(30세), 김용수(45세)는 케손시 딜리만의 스카우트 그란디아를 따라 콘도미니엄 유닛 안에서 체포되었습니다.
BI-FSU는 인터폴의 수배를 받고 있는 김희철 씨가 온라인 도박 사이트 개설 및 운영 혐의로 2021년 5월 전주지방법원에서 발부된 체포 영장의 대상이 된다고 밝혔습니다. 그는 2014년부터 다른 용의자들과 공모하여 해당 웹사이트를 운영했으며, 도박 자금을 받아 암호화폐로 전환하고 온라인 베팅 결과에 따라 당첨 배당금을 지급한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

서민과 김용수에 대해서는 2023년 5월 인천지방법원에서 불법 도박 사이트를 운영한 혐의로 체포 영장이 발부되었다는 보도가 있습니다.
두 사람은 신입 직원 교육 및 관리를 담당하고 23개 이상의 온라인 도박 사이트의 불법 운영을 감독하는 온라인 게임 신디케이트의 중간 관리자로 의심받고 있습니다. 이 웹사이트 운영자들은 불법 활동으로 2조 원이 넘는 수백만 달러, 약 140만 달러의 수익을 올린 것으로 알려졌습니다.



Three South Koreans wanted by authorities in Seoul for operating illegal gambling sites in the Internet were arrested by operatives of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

According to BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, the alien fugitives were arrested in two separate operations conducted recently by members of the bureau’s fugitive search unit (FSU) in Metro Manila.

Arrested last Nov. 8 at the BF Homes, Parañaque City was Kim Heechul, 36, while Seo Min, 30, and Kim Yongsu, 45, were apprehended inside their condominium unit along Scout Grandia in Diliman, Quezon City.

Viado said all three Koreans were detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City where they will remain until they are deported.

“They will also be placed in our blacklist of undesirable to make sure they won’t be able to come back to the Philippines,” the BI chief added.

The BI-FSU said Kim, who is also wanted by the Interpol, is subject of an arrest warrant issued in May 2021 by the Jeonju district court in Korea for opening and operating an online gambling site.

He allegedly conspired with other suspects in running the said websites since 2014 and was accused of receiving gambling funds, converting them into cryptocurrency, and distributing winning dividends based on online betting results.

As for Seo Min and Kim Yongsu, reports show that they were issued arrest warrants by the Incheon district court in May 2023 for also running illegal gambling websites.

The two are suspected of being mid-level managers of an online gaming syndicate responsible for training and managing new employees and overseeing the illegal operations of over 23 online gambling sites. The websites’ operators reportedly raked millions of profits of more than 2 trillion won, or roughly US$1.4 million from their illegal activities.
