귀넷 카운티와 홀 카운티에서 금품을 미끼로 10대 여고생들과 접촉한 혐의를 받고 있는 10대 한국 남성이 5일 경찰에 체포됐다.

이 남성은 90일 동안 유효한 관광비자로 미국을 방문 중인 이동하(18·사진) 씨로 밝혀졌으며, 홀 카운티 셰리프국은 그를 플라워리브랜치 소재 한 주택에서 체포했다. 그는 현재 학교 무단 출입 혐의로 홀 카운티 구치소에 구금된 뒤 6일 귀넷 구치소로 옮겨졌다.

이씨는 귀넷 카운티 세킹어고교와 홀 카운티 웨스트홀고교에서 여학생들과 ‘비정상적인 접촉’을 시도했다. 그는 소셜미디어를 통해 여학생들과 접촉한 뒤 뷰포드에 있는 몰오브조지아에서 만났다. 한 학부모는 지역매체 11얼라이브에 “그가 학생들에게 비싼 향수를 사줬다”고 말했다.

그는 지난달 28일 학생인 척하며 세킹어고교 건물에 들어갔다고 알려졌다. 한 학부모는 매체에 그가 다른 학생들의 이름을 알고 사진도 가진 것 같다고 진술했다. 학교 측은 그에게 건물 출입금지 조치를 내렸다



The South Korean man who has been the subject of several incidents at high schools in Northeast Georgia in the past week is now being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.

Jail records indicate Dongha Lee, age 18, is being held on a charge of "failure of unauthorized person to check in at designated location upon entering school." He's held on a just-under $3,000 bond as of Friday morning.

That charge is in addition to an immigration hold placed on Lee by the Department of Homeland Security when he was arrested by the Hall County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday afternoon near Flowery Branch. Authorities say Lee has been in the United States on a 90-day tourist visa that expires in May.

Both Hall and Gwinnett County school officials have warned parents and students about Lee's behavior, saying he showed up at both Seckinger and West Hall high schools in the past week, including trying to enroll at West Hall High School inappropriately. Hall County deputies reportedly issued Lee a criminal trespassing warrant on Tuesday.

Lee was initially booked into the Hall County Jail on Wednesday, but was later taken to the Gwinnett County Jail.
