A Marriage Without Intimacy

In her 30s, Rhasha believed she had found love online. She built a long-distance connection with a man from South Korea. After nearly five years of messaging, they married. She hoped this would be her chance at happiness. But that hope quickly turned into heartbreak.

Their marriage was never consummated. Her husband treated her coldly, avoiding physical contact altogether. Later, she realized he may have only married her to gain citizenship. She was devastated. “Maybe I’m just fat and ugly,” she cried, revealing how deeply that experience damaged her sense of worth. She felt betrayed—not just by him, but by the idea of love itself.
