미국 텍사스주 한인타운에서 총격 사건이 발생해 2명이 숨지고 3명이 다쳤다.
AP통신과 NBC방송은 5일(현지시간) 텍사스 댈러스 북부 캐럴턴의 케이타운 플라자에서 총격이 벌어졌다고 보도했다. 이곳은 현지에서 한인타운으로 불리는 지역 내 상가다.
용의자는 범행 직후 도주했으나 인근 H마트 앞에서 경찰에 붙잡혔다.
지역 매체 ABC10 방송에 따르면 총격 용의자는 한성호(69)씨로 한인으로 추정된다. 현재까지 피해자 5명의 신원은 확인되지 않았다.

Two people are dead and three have been injured after a shooting during a business meeting at a shopping center in Texas on Tuesday, May 5.

Police in Carrollton, Texas, responded to reports of a shooting just before 10 a.m. local time at the K Towne Plaza on Highway 121, Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo said in a " target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">press conference. The suspect was identified as Seung Han Ho, 69, Arredondo said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple people with gunshot wounds, Arredondo said.

Police found four victims at the shopping center, one was a confirmed deceased male, police said in a press release. One female and two males were transported to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition, police said.

During the investigation, police responded to a reported second shooting at a nearby apartment about an hour later. One deceased male was found inside the apartment. During their investigation, police discovered the second shooting was done by the same suspect.

The victims were meeting with the suspect for a “business purpose,” Arredondo said, adding that this was “not a random act of gunfire.” No other details on the meeting were provided.

"It was a known business relationship. We are still working through trying to identify his causes," Arredondo said.

Ho later confessed to shooting all five victims, police said in a press release. The suspect allegedly told police he "was angry at the victims due to financial disagreements related to their business dealings," police said.
