소라넷 이후 국내 최대 규모였던 불법성영상물 사이트 운영자가 에콰도르에서 붙잡힌 뒤 국내로 이송 후 구속됐습니다.
대전경찰청 사이버수사대는 정보통신망법(음란물 유포) 및 범죄수익은닉규제법 등 위반 혐의로 A(50)씨를 에콰도르 현지에서 검거 후 송환해 구속했다고 오늘(16일) 밝혔습니다.
A씨는 지난 2017년 8월부터 2020년 1월까지 불법성영상물 사이트를 운영하면서 아동·여성 성 착취물 등 약 3천 건의 음란물을 배포하고, 2012년 12월부터 2019년 10월까지 또 다른 사이트에서 성매매 업소를 광고한 혐의를 받습니다.한국에서 아동·청소년 성범죄를 저지른 한국인 남성이 에콰도르서 약 20년 만에 붙잡혔다.
에콰도르 경찰은 20일 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 "매우 위험한 시민을 체포했다. 그는 한국에서 아동·청소년의 성 보호에 관한 법률 위반과 정보통신망법 위반 등 5개 혐의를 받는다"고 밝혔다.
에콰도르 경찰이 지목한 A씨는 지난 18일 과야스의 한 쇼핑센터에서 체포됐다.
이날 현지 매체 엑스트라 보도에 따르면 A씨는 지난 2006년에 에콰도르에 입국했다. 다만 그의 출입국 기록이 없는 것을 감안하면 신분을 세탁하고 불법 입국한 것으로 추정된다. A씨는 에콰도르에서 다양한 사업체를 운영하며 부유한 삶을 살았다고 전해진다.
